Have you ever wondered about everything cologne? Truth is you probably use it or even you heard of it and seen it before in your lifetime.
There are many types, strengths, and choices when it comes to this kind of topic. But in this post, I would like to talk about how to apply splash on cologne and some guidelines on this wonderful yet mysterious concept.
First of all, what is splash on? It’s basically a type of cologne that you don’t literally splash on, but the key thing about it is it does NOT have a spray nozzle. I recently got a new cologne that happens to be a splash on and I also recently figured out how to use it AND where to apply it oo as well.
You’re probably wondering at this point what it may look like, splash on cologne in general. It’s basically a small bottle however when you open it, there’s no spray nozzle. Instead, it’s a very small hole so that way when you do apply it on, you don’t waste it and even make a mess too!
Now the part you’ve ALWAYS wanted to know if you don’t know about this concept: How to apply splash on.
Here’s the simplest way possible to apply:
Take the cap off and put your finger on top of the now open bottle, covering the small hole. Then GENTLY tilt the bottle until you feel you got the product onto your finger. Once you do that, apply it to the areas you want to apply it on by dabbing on them, NOT rubbing it in.
Now it may sound really cool BUT always remember these common rules for almost ANY cologne:
-DO apply to your pulse points. They could be your wrists, shoulders, neck, and ankles. This applies for even spray on cologne, basically almost any.
-DO moisturize BEFORE putting it on. The best time to do it, if you do this in the morning, is to do it after a shower. This one is optional if you want it to last longer. I would recommend doing it with an unscented lotion.
-DO NOT put it on your underarms. It may act like a deodorant but in reality, it’s just not good for that area of your body.
-When using splash on, DO NOT literally splash it on! Follow what was said in this post and you’ll be happy you read my words.
-If you can, REAPPLY depending on the strength of the product. Only do it when you must.
-MOST IMPORTANTLY: DO NOT OVERDO IT! If you do you’ll smell really good BUT it will be so strong people might not want to be near you. For sprays, 2-3 is enough depending on the concentration. For splash on, the method described in this article is plenty, again depending on the strength.
-And another thing: DO NOT RUB THE COLOGNE IN. You’ll destroy the so called “top notes” and your scent won’t last as long as you want it to. Trust me that I’ve done it BEFORE I knew about this guideline in the past.
Now that you have a general idea for how to apply splash on along with some knowledge on cologne as well, go ahead and be who you are! It may be an extra thing to worry about but it’s actually a FUN extra thing in your life depending how often you do something like this.
Always remember, cologne is NOT a joke as even the weakest ones are really concentrated so if you can, don’t overdo it. It’s tempting but really, it’s not good for your wellbeing.
